Open Source

TextWeaver is an Open Source product released under the GNU Lesser Public License (LGPL). Its code is available free. Considerable portions of the code on which TextWeaver is based are drawn from the CourseReader software, an Open Source product (LGPL) developed by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Canada’s TeleLearning National Centre of Excellence (Virtual U project). The relationship between CourseReader and TextWeaver is explained at greater length on this web site at http://coe.sdsu.edu/textweaver/cr.htm and toward the end of the Moderating Manual..  For more information on CourseReader, please visit its SourceForge site at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/coursereader and its home page at http://www.coursereader.net/

TextWeaver maintains an Open Source site on SourceForge at https://sourceforge.net/projects/textweaver/
